Having endured a lengthy lecture about 'Needing to pull her full weight' and 'This is an army, not a winter court.' complete with extended readings from Leadership from a Lion suborndiate of her chui, a somewhat non-plussed Otomo Hana reports to the medical tent to help out. Given her training, she was assigned to triage for those more skilled in healing.

"Yeah, that needs ointment....that needs binding.....that needs a long talk with your chui about why you don't do that...." she said, moving different patients ahead or behind as needed. Really, it was kind of like court scheduling, except the critreia was 'Will this kill them now?' as opposed to 'How well connected are they?'

Still, Hana hoped either someone offering or receiving treatment was more interesting to talk to than the rank and file. She didn't want people to think she was some sort walking first aid kit.

Or someone might describe the scene so, were they inclined more to the peripatetic in their prose than Kakita Hana, who managed not to endure quite the same lectures as the Otomo but was obliged to listen to the recitation of Akodo's text just the same. She knows she does not have healing hands. She also knows the sight of blood, and she is more than reasonably swift of foot. It makes her useful as an orderly, and it makes keeping the focus away from her in such...mundane...duties easier.

"Er, I say... ah, Crane-same? Could you grab my, uh, medicine kit there... Yes, right on the corner of that table there? And come with me and this, ah, Shiba Noriko-sama, was it? I would, um. Your help would be most helpful," Osamu said, both nervously and insistently.

When he encountered a Phoenix samurai-ko who obviously had something wrong with her feet, he waved abruptly at the passing Crane who might well have been unnoticed but for Osamu's Keen Sight.

With a long arm, the Scorpion raised the flap of a nearby tent, letting the hesitant Phoenix gather herself a moment before she stepped uncertainly inside. Then he glanced expectantly over at the Crane.

"Kakita-sama, do come along, please. I need your, ah, assistance."

The Scorpion blinks at the tone, but continues to look at her expectantly.

"With this patient. With, ah, assisting her. I won't call attention to any possible, uh, condition, but it wouldn't be proper to examine or treat her unchaperoned, hm? Propriety, right? It's a very honorable thing, assuring all virtue and, uh... That. Hm?"

Osamu smiles somewhat awkwardly and nods and gestures toward the tent he's still holding open.

"With this patient. With, ah, assisting her. I won't call attention to any possible, uh, condition, but it wouldn't be proper to examine or treat her unchaperoned, hm? Propriety, right? It's a very honorable thing, assuring all virtue and, uh... That. Hm?"

Osamu smiles somewhat awkwardly and nods and gestures toward the tent he's still holding open.

Kakita Hana looks at the Yogo flatly.

"Why would there be a question about virtue?" she asks.
