The command area is a flurry of activity as the army prepares to get underway. Reports from all areas of the camp come here, and orders to all areas of the camp flow from here. There is always at least one member of the command staff here, though rarely are they all here at once. Sometimes their personal attention is needed elsewhere, but if you need to bring in an urgent report (or even just a mundane status report), this is where you bring it.
