[D6 MN] In the Aftermath (open)

The Sixth Kaisha was a kicked beehive. The Kaisha commander was, to put it euphemistically, removed from command. Even in the best of situations this would often lead to a breakdown in authority and this was not so ideal a case.

Yoshi does his best to try to contain the chaos but it isn't even his Kaisha and his word isn't much. Still there are loose lips in the the chaos and he gleans a bit.

Hida's balls, I need to hide the fact that I'm good at paperwork.

He'd honestly expected to stand his usual watch, but noooooooooo, he had to be known in his kaisha for actually knowing the regulations remarkably well.

So of course, here he was, trying to assist the Sixth in getting their house into order.

At least it sounded like he wouldn't be expected to pull an all-nighter.

Not beyond his current headaches, anyway.

"SIT DOWN. No, the Gunso will not be fighting it out to see who ends up handling what. ... Here, just read this damn thing. Over there. Far away from me."

"Yes, well... I hardly have to tell you Kasuga-sama, but being in a Minor Clan leaves no room for samurai who can't pull their weight..."

The Hare gave the Tortoise a sardonic grin.

"Maybe you might get better results if you you bashed one of them in the face first? I mean, I think I'm getting away with a lot of this because nobody much wants to cross me..."

Adoka and his bird made an appearance. He recognised the Usagi and bowed (a little)as he passed by. He didn't recognise the Kasuga, which forced him to bid his time to get him in private.

He had sensed something earlier. He acted as if searching for it.

"Don't tempt me!" Yoshi snorts. "That was the last time I really was taken seriously."

He pauses and sighs. "It's not all bad. Signing on hasn't seen as big of a gap as I thought. Our commanders, at least Daidoji-chui for me, seem at least practical and take help when they can get it. For the most part I don't have to worry about whom I'm offending by giving them something. For the most part"

"Armies need more than just mad bastards with swords, Kasuga-sama. Trust the officers to grasp that. Your talents are just as useful as mine. Maybe moreso."

He scowled at the document he was holding.

"The fact that this is where I'm most useful at the moment isn't exactly delightful."

The mad-as-a-mongoose Scorpion received a bow suitable to his station. After all, his identity had been verified and the guy wasn't in a state of undress wandering around like a complete maniac.

Not too far off, Daikumo has found the supply tent and has pulled out weapon maintenance supplies to check over the weapons that people used in their battle against Shippai. He is looking over his Yari first, but has since finished and set it aside. He is performing more than simple maintenance, and also purifying the weapons as part of the process.

The Shireikan stalks through, order following in his wake as he gives his orders.

"Doesn't matter how it was done. Need it done this way. Now, please."

Seeing the members of other kaisha assisting, he gives a brief nod, but that seems to be all there's time for as he continues.

"You, gunso, which guntai?"

Yoshi looks around for a moment, not seeing the gunsho around that the new kaisha leader is indicating. His eyes flicker back to the wakizashi at the man's waist.

There was no way that the SHireikan was addressing him, so Adoka continued slacking.

For his part, Kaigen got back to work on what was essentially administrative paperwork.

"Thrice-damned shit-show, this," mutters Osoroshii under his breath before he draws a deep one that he holds for a heartbeat, two, and releases.

"You," he says, knife-hand identifying one Legionnaire who happens to be nearby. "Start gathering up wounded, get 'em looked at, easiest to treat handled first so that they can help treat the next ones down the line."

He turns, finds another. "You, start recording fatalities. Gather daisho as you can, detail personal effects. The Miya and Bayushi-taisa will want the information. The Mantis, too."

Another turn, a third knife-hand. "You, start checking material losses. Some jackass is probably going to start to think about picking things up as they shouldn't."

Yet another turn, and one Legionnaire gets collared. "You, go pack up the former chui's stuff. Log it in detail. It doesn't line up right with what he set out with, it's on you."

Osoroshii glances about, surveying what he can see.

"Usagi-san," he calls out, recognizing the man from earlier. "Nobody's been able to get their head on straight yet. You got the name of the senior gunso in this kaisha in that paperwork you've got there?"

Without waiting for an answer, he presses on. "Kasuga-san, help out on the materials checks," he says, and he pivots to the next thing.

"Yogo-san," he continues, "what're you looking for? Not sure this is the best time.

"Agasha-san," he presses on, "you might help with the daisho. I know you've got a talent for it."

The unnamed samurai begin to follow orders, coherency beginning to spread from the shireikan with the commands.

"I'll make sure they're cared for and cleansed before they make their way to the families," Daikumo replies as he continues his work.

He bowed upon being addressed.

"Osoroshii-sama, I am looking for the spot with the highest concentration of kansen in order to cleanse it. In case you could inform other shugenja to join me, I would be grateful." He responded.
