Stage 3: Goblin versus Pony

With the assault of the Unicorn riding into the fray, one goblin readied his spear and prepared to stab himself a Unicorn. It was scary seeing that huge steed bear down upon him, but he knew he had to stand firm if he was going to get back to his two wives and 8 children.

Mukai uses the mists to her advantage fading in and out of sight as her arrows rain down around the goblin. None find lasting purchase but they maintain constant pressure on the smaller creature.

The goblin shrieked as arrows peppered about him. Clearly he had not been expecting a Unicorn drive by. Shake he cast down his spear, and drew his bow to try and return fire. He wasn't normally very good and moving quite that quickly and the Unicorn could well be far too elusive for his arrow to fly home...

Gobbo switches to Water stance. Free action to drop spear, Action to ready bow, Bonus action from Water stance to move and shoot.

If he'd had just a few more seconds to have his bow out he surely would've struck her.

Mukai continues to fade in and out of the mists forcing the goblin to continue with the bow with which he seemed less familiar. This time her arrows struck true slowly turning her foe into a pincushion despite his armor.

(Keeping myself honest - just realized Daikyu is minimum range 3 so Mukai is using her Yumi given the fog. Goblin has suffered one less strife (yumi not being wargear) and one less damage)

Murai wasn't familiar with goblin tongue, but tone conveyed alot. Still fuelled by the enemy commander's dark powers, it moved forward to return fire rather than flee, though it was clearly at war with it's natural instincts.

Switching to Air stance.

And it showed as the shot went wide.

Goblin: 7/10 Endurance, 5/6 Composure.

Seeing that the goblin was not as cowardly as she first expected, to her surprise, but with zero intent of capturing this beast alive Mukai focused instead on bringing her foe down.

With the goblin dead, Mukai was free to rejoin the company and continue the fight!

Unscathed, other than the adrenaline pounding, Mukai whirls back into the mist to rejoin the forces of the Empire.
