Occupying the second level of the Watchtower, the Refectory is open at all times to ensure that the forces defending the Watchtower have enough to eat. A small shrine is in the northeast corner so that those who pray face the Imperial City, but it is not separated from the rows and rows of low tables where Crab and visiting samurai eat rice, vegetables, age, and noodles in plenty.

Notably, alcohol is not generally on offer in the Refectory. While the Crab are a hard-drinking people when off duty, nobody wants to be the drunkard whose failure means the True Enemy gains ground.
