[Fukurokujin]

The crown of the Watchtower supports a number of siege engines crewed by Kaiu samurai and their subordinates, ready to rain down death upon any who would attack the fortress. The highest level of the Watchtower supports the engines and boasts a ring of arrow-slits to attend to targets smaller than the siege engines can readily address. Access to both is via enclosed stairways and hatchways.

The level below is largely open, though it can be shuttered selectively as need allows. The open air allows command staff to survey the surrounding area and to coordinate defense.

Within are two further fortified positions. One serves as the quarters of the Watchtower commander, Hida Fuyutake. Another is reserved for visiting higher commanders, such as the visiting leader of the Forty-Second Emerald Legion.
