Unsurprinsgly the army's swiftest scouts lead the army on it's advance, and with so many horses about (Real or what the rest of Rokugan thinks is a horse), it's also not much of a surprise that the second' unit's kaisha is a Unicorn. The members of the second unit tend to be the most seperated from each other (though never out of view of another member) as they augment the kaisha naturally sharp eyes with intelligence about what the army will be facing soon.
