Yoshiko started to teach some of the soldiers that were interested in learning how to swing a tetsubo. She seemed like a good teacher showing them the ropes.

Daikumo technically knew how to swing a tetsubo. He'd done it plenty of times because he likes weapons. But he wants to learn more about it from those that use it daily... also because he likes weapons. He seems to be having a surprising amount of fun, his expression brighter than normal. It's normally only this bright when he's working on weapons and armor, crafting or maintaining.

"Nice form, Agasha san." Yoshiko pointed out. "Do you wield these kind of weapons often?" The Hida was curious.

"From time to time, but not as a primary function of my duty. I'm a smith and I've made a few that were gifted to visiting Crab to Dragon lands, or for Dragon that were traveling to the wall. And I always test my weapons, so I've done the equivalent of tameshigiri with a few tetsubo," Daikumo explains. "I can probably wield one in a fight, but that's not quite the same as doing so effectively and properly. Even an untrained peasant child can technically stab an enemy, but that doesn't mean they've got the technique to do it well, right?"

"I see... I hope I can teach you the right way to use this. It is quite heavy and the balance is different than that of a sword." Yoshiko explained. "Dragon lands are really far from Crab lands. Is this your first visit?"

"Actually, I'm more comfortable with a yari than a sword, so I'm already pretty comfortable with swinging a heavier weapon around. Still drastically different techniques unless we're planning to strap a blade on the end of a tetsubo, But somehow I'm I imagine that would throw the balance off," He replies.

"If it could be done a Kaiu might have done it. Then again it wouldn't be the same weapon. Like a katana and a wakizashi they are both swords but one is longer than the other." Yoshiko smiled.

"I've made some experimental weapon prototypes in my time. Most of them were definitely not very functional, or were less useful than the weapon I based them on. A spear haft turns out to not be great for mounting a nunchaku. doesn't work very well. You don't get good precise control over the nunchaku," he admits with a chuckle.

Yoshiko chuckled. "I guess experimenting is how the naginata was born." Yoshiko nodded. "Can I sak you something Agasha san? Besides this question. "

"Experimenting is probably how most things created by man were created, but were fortunately blessed to be given some things by the Kami and Fortunes. Go ahead and ask," responds with a nod.

"I mean no disrespect but... why you want to fight in the South lands?" She asked with curiosity.

"I don't want to fight anywhere specific. I don't even necessarily want to fight. I'm a smith and a priest and my entire hope is to support those fighting to the best of my abilities. But I also have trained a lot with weapons and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't raise them in defense of the people I'm standing next to in an emergency," I explained. " Being part of the legion was more just a career shift for me, prompted by my family. They don't dislike me, but I don't fit in with them."

"Perhaps the Kaiu can show you a few tricks in the crafting." Yoshiko nodded. "I too want to protect those around me and my family sent me north to protect me. Fortunes seemed to have sent me back to the south."
