"That is...an odd way to put it" She gave it some thought. "I prefer rain... storms be the great wars but eventually the sun will come out and bring the brighter side to warm people's hearts."

The Otomo considered the Crab's analogy....soft-shelled crab indeed.

"Lady Sun is kind, of course, Hida-san." she agreed. "But to borrow your analogy, would it not be fair to say then that it has been raining in the lands of the Crab since nearly the dawn of the Empire? When all of your ancestors knew nothing but storm, I would think it difficult to believe that the rain will stop soon."

"There are other storms that will never fall. The storm my fellow clanmates fight is one of darkness and not well balanced. The light will never shine in someplaces. That is a truth we need to bear." The Hida sighed.

And as if the Crab had timed it, the last firework died out, leaving the camp in relative darkness.

Hana rose, taking a moment to brush off any crumbs or dust from the impromptu picnic.

"But at least we have the memory of the fireworks, Hida-san. We all must fade eventually, but we can be bright for a few fleeting moments." she said.
