[Isawa Undomiei]

"Try me," Undomiei says, flatly. "Remember that Yogo was a student of Isawa.

"In any event, have you been maintaining the meditation regimen?" he continues. "The demands of the march complicate my own at times, and yours appears to ask for more rigor than that."

He resigned and hoped she would take it into account.

"Well basically I bind the kami in origamis and they assist me." He clarified.

"I do and the same applies to the prayer regiment. That should be in the back of the scroll."

[OOC: most of the prayers are to Onnetangu and Fortunes associated with him and the less virtuous behaviours. Most of it was during the night.]

"Perilous prayers, these," Undomiei says as he looks over things. "The closer we get to the Wall, the more dangerous they will be. Some of the Kuni research I've read reports that the language used by their focus--the similarity is something akin to alliteration and rhyme for us, although that is a rough analogy, as I know you will know.

"I will strongly recommend that you seek mundane assistance with the acupuncture," he adds. "Isawa Hana in the Sixth Kaisha, I know, has some facility in that regard; her sensei teaches it as a matter of course."

He reviews the medications list again, makes a couple of notes. "You might try this adjustment to the herbals," he continues. "Both due to the difficulty in preparing your usual prescriptions and because I think these might be of more assistance to you. The dosing matters, however; this herb," and one meaty finger taps heavily on one line of the list, "will, along with another in your prescriptions, cause gastrointestinal distress if overindulged. Severe gas and cramping, diarrhea, and anal seepage.

"Given our course of travel, I recommend minimizing your use of the opioids. I understand their prescription, and I do not disagree with it, but I also know that undue influences find easier purchase in those who do follow those prescriptions.

"Now, please hold still."

Undomiei looks at Adoka and his eyes...unfocus.

"That's splendid. Will you introduce us or I can use your name in my missive to her?"

"Aah no! This can't be done. My sensei will skin me alive once he finds out. That is unless we inform him via correspondence and hope he will not go Matsu over this.

"Now, please hold still."

Undomiei looks at Adoka and his eyes...unfocus.

He started worrying before he had finished spelling now. He might have offered to get probed, but now, that it was about to happen he almost got scared. Almost, just because he focused on mentally counting tanukis.

Undomiei...stares...at Adoka, his gaze unfixed, for what seems a long, long time.

The tanuki, cradling their ample undercarriages, seem almost to whimper as they are counted.

At length, the taisa blinks, and his gaze returns to...normal?

"My, that is going to be a cause for comment among the Kuni," he says.

Undomiei gives a small, short shake of his head, as if clearing it.

"I believe you said that you began experiencing the direct influence of 'an ancestor' after the head trauma. Would you expand upon that for me?"

"My, that is going to be a cause for comment among the Kuni," he says.

"I will not lie. This was one of my reasons for petitioning for this assignment." He said as he nodded in agreement.

Undomiei gives a small, short shake of his head, as if clearing it.
"I believe you said that you began experiencing the direct influence of 'an ancestor' after the head trauma. Would you expand upon that for me?"

"This is correct. I have never managed to get my sensei to inform me on my past and my memory gaps don't help. I fear that there is nothing to expand on. Unless you wish me trying to summon him and having a chat the three of us." He suggested, hoping that the firechicken would turn it down.

"Such a summons is inadvisable for several reasons," Undomiei replies. "But you would not be the first I've seen respond to head trauma in such a way. For what it is worth, I sorrow that such has happened to you.

"But as to the Kuni, that they have cause for comment may not be a good thing for you. I don't doubt they'll try to stick you with jade, prior tests notwithstanding.

"Then again, they do that to each other as a matter of course. I think I might be more worried if they didn't make such an attempt, honestly."

A couple of additional notes.

"You said the ancestor screams. That's not uncommon. About what does--he, she, or some other pronoun?--rave?"

"in my previous interaction with members of the only family that I feel could compete heads on with yours, I found then most reasonable." He began and reached to his neck talisman to display the jade finger hanging next to it.

"I implement the test of Jade at least three times per day and I am more worried about my jade stockpile than the access to opioids as we progress south." He added in a vain hope that the Isawa was more pragmatic than traditional Isawa usually are.

"As for my non- imaginary ghost friend, he wants his skull back, but refuses to tell me more until I cross the Wall."

"If the jade isn't reacting, then the testing is negative," Undomiei responds. "And it should not deplete the resource, as I understand it.

"I do still recommend reducing your opioid intake to the extent possible, for the reasons already noted."

Undomiei meets what seems like it should be Adoka's gaze--can one be sure with a mask?--flatly.

"I will also note that Kenro-Ji-Jin will embrace you when you are reasonably clothed as easily as when you are not. You seem to intone that prayer often, if the kami about you are any indication. Given the notes in your referral to me, I thought it might need to be said."

"I know and usually I go about clothed." He agreed.

"Then again you did notice the side effects of my treatment. In sort, my command of my bladder betrayed me. I forgot that I was in my loin clothes and a certain Crab guard thought it was funny to cause all this mess." He shrugged.

"I am not familiar enough yet with Legion procedures, but I feel that I should petition for an audition to whoever is the commanding officer of the chui of my Taisha."

[Isawa Undomiei]

"For most matters," Undomiei replies, "the next officer up would be Bayushi-taisa. In theory, any of the taisa could weigh in, but what you describe seems to me to be an operations matter, which falls under her purview."

[Yogo Adoka]

_Oh that's so perfect!_

"Then I know who to voice my concerns." He announced and bowed.

"If we are done here, I wish to continue my routine. I will visit lady Isawa and I will cut down on the opioids. I don't agree with all of your suggestions, but I will communicate all of them to make sensei." He continued.

"Is there any other way that I could be of service to you?"

[Isawa Undomiei]

"Nothing at this time, Yogo-san," says Undomiei. "Thank you for your cooperation."

[Yogo Adoka]

"Apologies again for imposing on your time and thank you for your care and interest." He responded and bowed.

"May I suggest periodic tea meetings for you to keep evaluating me?"

"If you feel the need," Undomiei says, "appointments can be arranged.

"Until then," he adds, "I am certain you have other duties to attend to."

A short bow.
