Hida Masayuki arises. After a big stretch and a drink of water, he says his daily prayers and then checks over his equipment to ensure he is ready for the day. He dons his armor and makes sure it looks as impeccable as it can. He then lovingly picks up his tetsubo, which is decorated in the sweet spot with the glowing sun in the image of lady Ameratsu so that all will see her when they come into contact with it.

Once all is ready, he heads out of his tent.

Shinjo-sama would have them on point soon enough but, for the moment, Mukai was finishing preparing Hachiko for the day before they would once more ride until dusk.

"Morning, Hida-san."

"Good morning, Utaku-sama."

Masayuki admires the way the Utaku cares for the fine horse. He has never understood those who do not appreciate the Unicorn.

-sama... now that was a weird experience for Mukai. She reflexively almost corrected the Crab before realizing that, after her earlier acknowledgement by their superiors, that maybe it actually did apply. She certainly didn't feel any different but she wasn't going to risk misspeaking.

"Not sure if you heard but we found a farm hit by bandits the other day. Doubt they'd be fool enough to mess with the Legion but best be aware."

"Thank you for this information. We will need to be vigilant."

Masayuki is careful to pass on this information to the chui as well as Daidoji Nobu who is nearby. "Let us be on our guard."

Mukai smiles and nods, "I would expect no less from the Crab, Hida-san, and pity any bandit that decides to test it."

If she was supposed to be moving towards leadership keeping up morale seemed like a good step in the process.
