[Day 3, Midnight] The Wee Small Hours (Open)

[Toritaka Shinji]

Shinji looks at him briefly.

"No."

He returns his attention to the Usagi.

[Usagi Kaigen]

Kaigen bowed to the Falcon.

"This one is Usagi Kaigen, of the Second Kaisha. While making my rounds, I heard a noise and opted to investigate. This... person appeared, laughing, and said something about Lord Moon. I forget exactly what. Claimed to be one Yogo Adoka. Did not state his business. Did claim to be your subordinate when questioned. Asked to join me on my rounds. Lacking verification of his identity or place within the Legion, to say nothing of this individual's state of dress..."

Or undress.

"... and the way in which he tried to make an issue of my not introducing myself by name when I challenged him, I naturally grew suspicious. At that point, I alerted my colleagues. I am sorry I waited so long to do so."

He bowed slightly lower.

[Toritaka Shinji]

"I do have someone named Yogo Adoka in my kaisha," Shinji says. "But as might be thought, his face is unfamiliar. The voice sounds correct, though."

He sighs heavily.

"You did nothing incorrectly except, perhaps, in delaying to summon aid, as noted. It is, after all, the place of the night watch to challenge those they do not recognize--up to and including the Rikugunshokan, if I recall my briefings correctly."

He turns to regard the Yogo again.

"You emerge unannounced in the middle of camp at night and not showing proper signs of allegiance," he says. "So much suggests espionage. So, because you may be who you claim to be, I will offer you a small chance to demonstrate the truth of it. If you refuse it, or if you fail to provide an appropriate accounting of yourself, I will be obliged to turn you over for more rigorous questioning."

[Yogo Adoka]

Yeap, this becomes frustrating. He almost forgot that he didn't wear his mask but in the end he avoided making any face.

"I intend to fully cooperate Toritaka-sama."

It's my event report you should worry about.

"It would be far simpler if you summoned our mutual imaginary friend, but in the larger sum of things, it doesn't matter." He added.

"Oh and by the way some clarifications: I did draw attention on me by whistling. I did offer my name when prompted and I merely asked for the guards name and offered to accompany him. In case Lord Toritaka fails to understand it, I have zero recollection of what happened the last couple of hours. So have I already proven my identity or you need me to lead you to my tent and display my chop, my mask and my other possessions or maybe call on Metsuki-san?"

[Toritaka Shinji]

Another distinctly un-serene sigh from the Toritaka.

"And what business were you about that demanded you be in your current state of undress?" he asks.

[Yogo Adoka]

"That's not something that I am at liberty or capacity to answer." He responded.

"Hence my earlier suggestion about our mutual friend."

[Toritaka Shinji]

Shinji closes his eyes and sighs again, heavily.

He considers matters.

Another sigh.

"Given our earlier discussion and your current status, I must conclude that you are unwell. As such, I am referring you to Isawa-taisa for medical attention. I am also assigning you guards to ensure your safety until that time."

Shinji turns to the attending guards. "Please ensure that he is supervised until Isawa-taisa can address him. I expect it will be at the earliest opportunity."

He turns to Kaigen. "Written report, please, with copies to me and to your own chui. I imagine she will want to be advised of how matters stand."

[Usagi Kaigen]

Kaigen simply bowed again.

If the prospect of paperwork unduly concerned him, he gave no sign.

[Yogo Adoka]

Adoka bowed and went back to his tent. He got dressed and put on his mask. He was disappointed but well, let's say he was used to it.
