I apologize: TN to scrounge or barter for an Army Ration worth of rations out in the sticks
Someone called the 4th Kaisha slow and Yoshi is working on a song!
Will defer this one to GB since he's been handling your turtely commerce stuff.
Apologies for the delay. It's been a long day. A good one, but long.
There are towns along the way, or close enough that you could reasonably scrounge. You will have been told, at least in general terms, that you will be going directly through one village of some note, however, so no outside expedition is strictly needed (unless you just want to roll for it each session, which is doable).
I'll add that no, no adjustments for the TNs on Coursing March Chant. Army marching speed's not an issue for this game, really, so what we'll do is let use of Coursing March Chant count as, in effect, a second metagame roll. Success on the check from the shuji increases either Discipline or Strength by one; expending rations to lower the TN to 2 will be represented by incurring 1 Fatigue that does not "heal" during the session. Opportunity expenditures for individuals are allowable as written; those pertaining to the Legion as a whole increase Strength (in lieu of the attrition option as written) or Discipline (in lieu of the panic option as written).
For purposes of this game, terrain features do not impede the march, as such. There are roads, and you are on them. The easy movement of Imperial forces is, in fact, the reason the (major) roads are there.
I hope this wall of text helps.
