Re: Hida Masayuki
Any advice on what I could have done better? Not sure if that's for me or in general. XD But since I commented on dice, I'm going with that bit. Dicewise? I don't think I looked closely enough at yours to have any. I will say that poking the probability tab to look at things like "how much better/w...

Re: Seek Ye Wisdom (Fukurokujin Q&A)
Re: standardizing PF's We never did when I was running, partly because character approval and setup is usually a busy enough time not to think of setting up even more PF threads. But I could see the utility in *not* having to remind people to set up a metagame thread, and having threads for X all ca...

Re: Hida Masayuki
I'll tag in on the blank dice. Among other things, there are techniques that specifically let you manipulate blank dice. Did they plan that far ahead for the Ishiken using blank dice to power void magic? Not sure since that was 4-5 books down the line. But it does seem like a deliberate choice to ha...

Re: Seek Ye Wisdom (Fukurokujin Q&A)
Meant to ask about Undomiel's name..being not terribly Rokugani and brought in from an entirely different franchise (well...as far as I know. Tolkien being a linguist means it may have been borrowed from somewhere else, certainly)

Re: Isawa Mari Q&A Reading the Omens
If and when there's a future game, is Mari coming back? If not, what does her future hold? She's one of the more readily reprised characters, and could fit into most game types except early career stuff like Topaz or a miai, so it's likely. Near future is here at the Wall, eventual future...that re...

Re: Isawa Mari Q&A Reading the Omens
Warning...gettin' wordy ahead. What did you like most about the game narratively? What did you like least about the game narratively? Most: I appreciated splitting things into time-jumped spaces. I think the march could have benefitted narratively from a few GM setpiece threads in the line of the "o...

Re: Isawa Mari Q&A Reading the Omens
Beware the DREADED FORM QUESTIONS! 1. Biggest curveball Mari threw you? 2. Biggest curveball the game threw you? 3. Biggest Missed Opportunity? 1. Honestly, I'd have needed to get more posting in to find a curveball there. The limited posting did mean finding her a bit more straight-laced than inte...

Thanks for the thread with Hana's challenge puzzle in it...particularly as I plodded through with my vacation schedule (mom's quite jealous of my time when I'm visiting--understandably). I was curious what threads someone might follow to find that sort of answer and appreciated the chance to flesh o...

Re: Revel in Despair (Saibankan Q&A)
Thanks! These things take a *lot* of work, and it's a bit uphill with the amount of the Fallenash community that dislikes 5e. You guys rolled with the smaller (but persistent) playerbase here, so I know there was some juggling to do along the way. The Advantage/Disadvantage tweak really did seem to ...

Re: Seek Ye Wisdom (Fukurokujin Q&A)
Thanks! I know the backend is a lot of work, piloting a lot of NPCs is attention-draining, and event creation is art as well as science (well...math).
Sorry I couldn't follow up rumors or NPC threads as well as I'd like. Is Isawa-sama cursing not getting to Shippei the night before? XD

Re: Utaku Mukai - Emphasis on the Mukai (Mukai Q&A)
What did you like most about the game narratively? What did you like least about the game narratively? It's funny that in a way they're both the same thing. It was a solid, straightforward story. Which gave it a strong throughline but meant there didn't feel like much 'side content' to explore. Alt...

Re: Doji Hametsu Q&A
Very fun character to watch. Thank you for our bit of interaction...always a pleasure. Sorry I got too busy with family to follow up on it. In character, Mari could only pick up on the idea that something in Hametsu's betrothal was bothering him, but they didn't hit the point of familiarity where as...

Isawa Mari Q&A Reading the Omens
My trip took a bigger chunk out of my posting time than I'd planned, so I wasn't terribly present for the latter half of things. I owed a few people followup meetings and the like, that didn't end up happening. Alas. But... Yay team for sweeping through that final battle! And feel free to ask things.

Re: Open threads on offer
It may not matter much here at game ending, but if folks need patching up: https://threads.fallenash.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=300 With the battle being in vague-time, I've set this one in LA, but can change it if I missed a more definitive bit of battle timing. Similarly if there are folks with Affl...

(D8 LA) Time for Stitches (open)
As the initial charges are pushed back and the slog of repelling the main force sets in, Mari retreats to where she can be the most useful, among the herbs and bandages of the field hospital.

Re: Special Bonus Ending Stage!
It took a few moments to realize it was over, for now. Mari tucked away her scrolls, looking around to see what needed to happen next. She puzzled over those walking the battlefield to make sure the dead stayed dead, blanching with the realization. A deep breath provided a nosefull of battle stink, ...

Re: Battle Event Coordination
I expected not to do that fight with my travel schedule keeping me away. But the damage Mari could do with an invocation is pretty low compared to those shiny blades. Good to see that the team we had are this effective.

Re: Stage 3: Resist the Second Assault
Moving beyond the wall is so much worse than Mari expected. Bandit hunting looked organized and tidy next to this, and there's noplace to look that doesn't hold some sort of twisted horror. She'd expected to spend most of her time patching people up so they could fight just a bit longer, but finds h...

Re: GM Questions
Should I attempt a Tactics check, would Keen Sight apply to directing things across the battlefield.
I'm assuming Superstition kicks in here for most rolls that are going to happen.
